In the summer time my mare had these strange lumps on her back about the size of a penny. There were about 5/6 of them in an area of about 5x5" just under where the back of her saddle sits. They pulled away along with the hair on top of them to leave horrible round bald spots. I washed these spots with hibiscrub every other day and applied antibacterial cream to them every day and the hair grew back again after not long and they were fine, I had no bother with them since.
However, since I clipped her again at the start of January, she has come up in more of these little scabby-lump things only they are much smaller this time. Howeverm this time they are all over her rump and along her spine, there are quite a lot and they seem to be spreading. I've been very careful about not brushing around them incase I spread them. Again, they pull away with hair.
I don't know what they are and I'm getting worried about how many that are coming up.
Anyone have any ideas?
