strange canter?

Just seen this video on an advert, and would like to know if you notice anything odd about its canter?

Mmmm, I am by no means an expert and don't want to put you off the horse if you want to buy, but the hind leg action looks very exaggerated and lifed (also very croup high in canter). Stringhalt comes to mind although I don't have any experience of the condition and could be totally wrong.

Humm . . . . Is it just me or does he always land on the right hind when jumping which is making him disunited if only for a stride or two?

Very weird canter. He doesn't look happy in his hind legs at all. In fairness to him they are extraordinarily long ones but his canter is definitely not right.

Again I am not sure and I'll happily eat my words if I'm wrong, but he looks odd to me in trot as well. His hindlegs look like they might be engaging a lot if you look at them in isolation, but his back is not and his general outline is very much on the forehand, contradicting what the legs alone are doing.

I don't think he does have extraordinary long legs, I think they have just got the aspect ratio wrong on the video when they posted it...

I kept my OP vague but you`ve all pick up on the same thing as me. I thought stringhalt at first, but its very odd. Looks fine in all other paces.

Very bouncy high action....It must be awful to sit to

Looks like a rocking horse in canter, I kept expecting a buck to be thrown in!

Well It's not like any horse with stringhalt I've seen, although I've only seen it occur in one leg as opposed to bilateral but usually the hock is over flexed in stringhalt bringing the hind leg up higher, is more exagerated in trot, this does not appear to me to be the case in the video, to me this horse looks to be constantly looking to change leg behind, is almost stiff through the hock, his back is arched. I'd say there is possibly a pelvic issue???????

I agree. My horse occasionally get dissunited and will do a quick hop to get back, but this horse looks like he is constantly hopping.
