Anyone have any idea what this colour would mean in my horses droppings:

My horse passed these colour droppings whilst being ridden by a friend in the school last night. It really stuck me as an odd colour particuarly as he is out from 7.30am - 3pm every day at grass and they have always been a greeny brown colour before, getting browner the less grass he has. He has lots of carrots but then has always had lots of carrots in his diet. I can't think of anything else it could be.
He hasn't had his feed changed since 11th September when he went onto a different chaff (straw based) and its never been this colour before. Does this indicate any health conditions? Surely he would have had a change of dropping before now - its been 12 days after altering his chaff.
Just never seen this colour before. No mucous surrounding it, and balls broke up on contact with the surface. The only way to describe it is a golden syrup type of colour.
ANy ideas?
