If you are in SW Cornwall, be careful cos when I got up the field this morning some rocks had been pulled out the hedge at the main pad locked gate, My paddock gate has been broken off at the hinges and was propped back up upside down

The YO's ladders were in the middle of my field and Bear was in a really fowl mood. He was pinning his ears back at me and my daughter

He's NEVER EVER pulled a mean face at a person and I could count on 1 hand the amount of times Ive seen him pull mean face at other horses. So something must have pi$$ed him off big time.
Im really scared now that they will try and pinch my boys, I know they wouldn't nick Buddie cos he is as wild as a coot with some strangers in his own field, especially men. But Bertie will go with anyone and Bear will go with anyone with food.

Please be very careful and make sure that you're fields are secure

Poor people having to come out in the morning only to find their horses are gone. God i don't know what i'd do if i was in that situation. I'm babysitting for a friend tonight and i'm right next to the horses ... keep looking out the window!!

Sophie, it all sounds very suspicious, have you contacted the police about it? If not, please do...!!

Good idea...are you going to contact them?

No I haven't contacted them, Im going to send OH up there at dusk to make sure they are all OK.
Im shitting myself that I might go up and they are all gone.

I'm sure they will be fine. What did you do to that gate after finding it propped up this morning? You got another one there or fixed it? Still locked?

you've had what seems to be an attempted theft of your horses, and at the very least, criminal damage to your gate, and you HAVEN'T phoned the police???

Its not the main pad locked gate, Its this one

The main get is up to the left of the drive behind Bertie.

Ive tied it on for a min, OH didn't have time to repair it after work as he had to take me up to see my Gran in hospital.

oh god lots going on for you atm then...if you're that worried about them there is only one way to put your mind at ease and thats keep checking them overnight. Altho, if they left your gate in such an obvious state would they be so silly and come back the next night? Surely they'd be aware everyone would be on edge and they'd get caught?

Its a 20 min walk for me but 2 mins in OH's car, I think I will tomorrow, especially as now I have sold Bertie

Its my luck that something major will go wrong.

Hi Sophie, i find it really disgraceful how we spend so much money to do something we really enjoy, put so much time into it and then someone just tries to take it all away from you. I don't understand how they can do i really can't!
Might be worth mentioning it to the police though they might be able to keep a look out or something for you.

aww they all look stunning you're very lucky!

I only have Annie (12.2 grey welsh arab 33y.o) have had her for 15 years, since i was 7! As much as i'd love another one i can't really afford it atm. Plus i'm very lucky to have 2 lovely horses to ride at the same yard

I would strongly advise you to go to your local police station and report the incident and ask for an incident number.

Get your horses freezemarked on their shoulders if they have not already been done and ensure you have photos from each of their 4 sides incase they go missing.

you will definately have to come up and have a ride on my coblet, but dont worry he's not a slug LOL, my friend keeps her 14.3 pure arab Jacques where I keep mine, he's lovely!

I know Amy, a couple of weeks ago we had a bunch of lads using one of the fields (jacques) as a cut through, 2 fields down is the by pass. Little shits, if I get hold of them they will know about it!

Is that your horsebox in the yard? Do you think they might be trying to pinch that and have it away across your field?

I hope they don't come back whatever their intention is/was
