Well my mare Annie is on day 334 today dripping milk and very restless so looks like we might be getting a baby soon, however this mare is a bit of an oddball, I bought her knowing she was "empty" 5 years ago and she had been blood tested for pregnancy which came back negative, so bought her proceeded to bring her back into work and my girls had some great fun with her, then farriar came to reshoe her and I was cleaning off her legs glanced up and low and behold massive milk bag, 3 days later gorgeous surprise wee filly. Fast forward and we had her covered last year naturally scanned at early scan and heartbeat scan with zero issues brought her home and scaled back her work till 4 months ago when we stopped working her completely, april hits and she starts displaying in season full on twerking, spraying and being a general nuisance to the herd, actually flabbergasted as we were hoping for a foal this time, may hits and she seasons again, I wasnt convinced that she wasnt in foal she looked ready to give birth to a rhino!! so got vet up for a scan and manual check and definitely in foal, phew.
Stayed with her last night as her ph levels have dropped and shes super restless.
Today we have milk dripping, back emd like the mersey tunnel and the diva that thinks shes a t rex most days just wants cuddles but still no sign of the bloody foal.
Never known such an oddball mare someone needs to give her a pregnancy and foaling book sometime soon like as shes driving me demented.
Not to mention my perfect little princess mare that's a maiden is due in 3 weeks so I have a feeling the caravan at the yard may be my new home for some time to come lol
