Can any of you help?
Jess was absolutely fine an hour ago. She was pestering me to take her for a walk, but OH took them all out this morning. Jess was absolutely fine.
She sulked a bit then laid down on her bed in the lounge.
Next thing I see is Jess getting up and holding her left leg out stiffly and arching her back. I called her to move ( just to see what she was like) and she is lame on this leg!
Anyone any ideas? I am perplexed. My thoughts are to leave her and just see what happens in the next hour or so but advice gladly received.
Thanks

lol, do you think she might be taking the pee just a tiddly bit...

Mine does this if she generally doesnt get her way, limps, arches her back, groans... sometimes pretends to be dead...

show her the lead and make out like you are taking her for a walk..then see how lame she is.

Tried getting the lead and she is definitely uncomfortable and lame. She keeps holding her left front leg out straight. Very strange. Am half wondering whether to go to vet tonight.

Took her "round the block" a very short walk and she wasn't lame but was really quiet, mouth open, not actually panting, but tongue out and breathing heavily. Even more concerning, she did not pull at all on her lead which is unheard of for |Jess.
I have spoken to the vet and am going at 7.30.
Will update later.

Have you noticed any ticks on her lately?
Ask the vet to check/test for Lyme Disease asap to be on the safe side, hope it's nothing and she is ok, Oz :)

I was just going to say the same thing. My sister-in-law lives in a densely wooded area in the US, and her Collie X pretty much gets Lyme every summer, despite being on Frontline; the first sign is always a stiff leg.
