I've just bought a veteran horse - he was vetted a week ago and was fine.
However over the past three days he's developed strange, filled legs.
The filling is in both hind legs, one is worse than the other. The filling is around the hock but predominantly above the hock up the back of the leg. The weird thing is it doesn't look like normally filling, in that it appears 'lumpy' it's not uniform at all - and it hasn't improved with him being turned out for the past 2 days.
He's sound and doesn't seem to be in significant pain - there is a little heat coming from the worst areas of filling.
Any ideas as the vet can't come out till Monday.
Thanks
