my friend had a foal who she couldn't decide on a name for so he went through life with the name foaly.
 
when i worked in a riding school we had a pony called ugly, ug for short!
i also know a horse called brian, which really suits him and i used to work for someone called john who called him horse 'little john', he was 17.3hh lol
 
My old boy was called Donut. Have known a Rupert, 2 Johns and the best I think, Tony ( his racing name was Six Pack so where Tony came from I don't know).

The RS I went to as a child (well three RS's!) had ponies called:

Mr Smith
mrs Smith
Toe-a-sock
Dumpy (cutest fattest little grey pony)
 
All the most talented horses i know are called Eric... Lovely name lol.

Had a horse for breaking onces, She didnt com with a name so we called her GG. 6 years on and her owner is still calling her GG

When i took my son to the local riding school, they have a pony called Yogi, and a horse called Becky, when i was growing up i went to the same riding school, they then had a horse called Mouse.
At at a yard i was on a few years ago they had a big horse called Munster

Used to know a horse named Wheelbarrow. & i suppose horse i ride's name is different, Skoki Bay. (Skoki means 'Jumps' in Polish, & boy does he jump!!) Oh, & at my old RS there was a horse called Horse. :L i felt sorry for him. Also a pony named Mink... i could probably go on.. :L
 
My dad has a racehorse, very very sweet and kind, who is called Psycho! It was all due to that particular year's foals having to have names starting with P and that's what they came up with!

My grandad was desperate to call one foal "Footprint" - so we stopped him as we didn't want him yelling "footie" when he went to get him in.

The Bogg Big Bird - my mare -we live on road called "The Boggs"

Her baby boy was called "Todger" as his dad's "Rodger"

Her baby girl is "The Bogg Monster"

I knew a pony called 'Pig' at a RS I used to go to.

Also at my last job we had a mare called 'Hot Lips'.,

I also know a Yogi (Bear) and a new forest called Rupert.

Best one ever, although slightly off topic, was a friend of my parents when I was a child, who had a Great Dane dog called.....

......Pussycat!

He was a pilot and used to wander around the airport calling for him and asking if anyone had seen his Pussycat!!

He'd get some funny looks when this huge dog would come bounding up.
