I have ridden elephants and camels which was great. Wouldn't want to fall off either of them....long way down! Best ride I had was in the desert on an ex Arab race horse. Man could he shift. We rode at 6pm as it was cooler then and these are all rescue horses that have raced in their past. They know jog and flat out. Bear in mind I'm used to a substantial 16.3 warmblood and this was a 15hh arab. It was like sitting on a broom stick going flat out with nothing in front of you but sand. Amazing!!

urm iv ridden a cow, sheep, goat, sat on a pig and urmmm oh this isnt funny but random anyway...i COULD have had a once in a life time ride on a camel at the ciruis once but (barring in mind i breathe horses) we could choose from a horse or a camel and gues what?? i rode the bloody horse didnt i!!!
well i WAS only 10!

Strangest place - would have to be the Excel centre in Docklands, London! Having to wander around by the light railway, ride up like a multi storey car park to get in the building and stable in the car park below! Most bizarre!
 
Strangest place - Cardiff City Centre! It was part of an organised ride to do with access - There were 100 horses escorted by the mounted police! They closed off the roads into the city duiring rush hour! Such fun! All this and there was thunder and lightning too!
 
Horses in Mexico.
The guide took us off into the jungle over no path at all, he just bashed one with a machete thing and used his horse as a JCB!
At one point I was leaning forward hanging onto a neckstrap as the horse in front's back feet were higher than my head it was so steep. those horses were amazing, totally sure footed, but the saddles were dreadful, mine was made of wood and gave me a sore ar** for a week...
 
Strangest place: Radio 1 Roadshow - in the 80's . They did a show from Carrickfergus Castle so we rode our ponies there to have a look (we lived just up the road from it). Great fun - but we got some strange looks . we did however get a mention on the radio.

Strangest place, Glastonbury festival some years ago when the travellers were allowed in. I borrowed a superstar coloured cob from them on a Saturday afternoon and rode him bareback right round the whole site, and then all along the very crowded main drag. That horse was amazing, all those people, all that noise, and he was so calm.

Actually, in retrospect, he was probably stoned....
