Only asking as saw several people from an infected (confirmed) yard at local event today. Event poorly supported as strangles only a mile away, we were fence judging and amazed to be done at lunch time.

Yes on their clothes and hands it is not a dirty disease but keeping everything scrupulously clean if you have a contact can prevent spread. Isolation for a few weeks is a much better control so perhaps folk felt the need to keep away as a precaution

They can carry the bacteria on their clothes. If they have clean clothes and have showered between being at the yard and the event then should be ok

Cannot believe how irresponsible those people potentially are. IF they had showered and changed clothes and shoes etc then it's fine. If not and they touched another horse at the show- BAD NEWS
