Strangles Case.

Just been told, a farm up the road has strangles.

Is there somewhere on Defra site that this can be confirmed.

Don't think so as it's no longer notifable, use to be about 12 years ago, DEFRA changed the rules as I don't think they are at all in horses

Have you got their number? Perhaps you can ring and ask - although they might not want to admit it - they might see it as bad for business!! Do you know any liveries there? I'd call the vet and get the strangles vaccine ASAP! Hope the information turns out to be false, lets hope they haven't got strangles. Fingers crossed for you xx
