Strangles confirmed Wilts

I'm sure all locals already know, but a yard in Brinkworth has a confirmed case of Strangles and apparently there are other unconfirmed cases in the local area also (any more details on this/where would be great as all my info at the moment is very vague).

I'm about 15 minutes away nr Cirencester and so am staying vigilant as the outbreak earlier this year spread too close for comfort. If anyone knows of any more cases please say.

Horsewatcheck have posted on facebook but details unclear. I am porton stoke so back on to brickwork area :-(

As far as I am aware the strangles is at Hulberts green RS, that is what I have been told anyway. its that area. a bit too close for comfort

Yeah I've also heard its at Hulberts. Assume by 'Minety' wilts horse watch mean Hulberts green or is there a second confirmed in Minety too? Bit confused at the conflicting reports

I think Horsewatch have to be quite careful about what details they give out for things like that, so that could be why. I haven't heard of one in Minety, I hope not.....thats where I hack!!

I did some digging this morning and there IS strangles in Braydon as well as Brinkworth.

Just saw that on the horsewatch page. Really hope it doesn't spread any further I wanted to take my youngster to the Ciren park fun ride this weekend but not sure whether its worth it now..

I would still go Just don't let them drink from water troughs or touch noses with any other horses
