Strangles in Berks/Bucks/Oxon

Alot of people seem to be speculating wether there are confirmed strangles cases in this area?? does anyone know if this is true?? i only ask because these areas are fairly swamped with yards and fear it may get out of control.My heart goes out to all the affected horses and owners.....
 
to be honest I think it's just rumour/scare mongering, I have heard of no confirmed cases.

BRC definitely doesn't have it despite paranoid email circulations to the contrary.
BCA did have a confirmed virus, but it is not strangles and they are clear now.
 
there was a post yesterday about this: post was something like strangles in windsor/maidehead area? There was one confirmed that Tally Ho knew about in Chobham area but it is contained and recovering fine without spread and berkshire polo club had a virus but not strangles and that is also getting back to normal without spread. The rumours are out there but i feel its for nothing at present. My friend has one of mine at a yard next to windsor great park which is where the strangles supposedly started and not one yard around her had heard of anything.
