I have (at least)3 with strangles with another 4 who have been in contact before I knew what it was. I've been told it's in Higham and Gravesend.
None of mine have been anywhere since October and won't be going anywhere until they've all been swabbed clear. And I'm not visiting friends with horses. My neighbours are aware.
Can anyone tell me, I only take a couple of mine out and about, I'd like to get them checked out to ensure they are not carriers. If they swab clear can they still be carriers? Do I need to get them all checked for carrier status? I want to take one to my instructors for lessons (one we have the all clear) but would be mortified if I took strangles along for the ride.
