Found out this morning that a yard very close to mine has strangles! Apparantly three horses have been moved from the infected yard to another yard in a nearby village

Just thought I'd spread the word on here in case any of you live closeby :) Between Selby & Leeds (Not sure if I am allowed to name names?)

A lot of horses get strangles and you wouldnt even know. Some get a slight cold. More fool the yard that has let them move into.

Horses should be isolated to contain strangles. This what happend to a place near us. A dealer buying from the auctions bought horses where my friend had her horse. Never isolated the horses she bought and my friends horse got strangles.

Nearly died as the horse vet was newly qualfied they didnt know what they were treating and choked to death.

I just hope that noone brings it to my yard! :( Can do without a poorly horse!
