Strangles vaccine

A while ago there was a lot of talk about a strangles vaccine but it seems to have dissappeared - what happened? Has it been taken off the market or something?

It has been withdrawn for some time now and there seems no suggestion at the moment that one will come back onto the market.

PS - If you don't want to sell your tack there are a lot of equine charities that would be glad of it

I looked this up on the web a few months back and I understand that there were one or two incidents where horses appeared to catch it from the vaccine ...same strain....and so the firm has withdrawn until can guarantee safe.

i was also told by my vet prior to the problems and withdrawal, that there was only any point giving it to horses less than 3 years old in yards with lot's of comings and goings.
