Strapping

Ok here's another stupid question from me - sorry!!
I know roughly what strapping is, it's like grooming horse, but firmer and with other things the brushes (please correct me if wrong)
What do you us to strap and how do you do about it ?
As I am not fully sure and never seen it done - heard a lot of people saying it's good for horses and there coats so just wanted to know

[Nagling]

Strapping is basically increasing blood flow to the muscle. You can use a special leather pad or even the heel? of your palm. You move in firm rythmic strokes - its almost like a bang on the muscle then continue the stroke away. Its really important to only do it on muscle like the neck and hindquarters not near any bones! Start gradually with just a few strokes at a time then build it up. My horses really enjoy it and its good for your arms too!
