Strathallan BE - butterfly issues!

Well The dressage tactics seem to be working we got 37.4!

Our best ever, despite a butterfly landing on his nose during my canter/ trot transition & him getting a fright! LOL

SJ was very strange, not a straight line between any of the fences

but he jumped a fantastic clear.

XC was the most technical I have seen at Intro especially after Auchinleck last week which was defo a 1st time one!

He had a silly stop XC at the easiest fence on the course (wee white house) which annoyingly dropped us from 1st to 9th in the end

But feeling much better about my 1st PN now I have jumped round something more technical & up to height.

So who is off to Houston? I will be the one who looks a fetching shade of green

Well done - sounds as if you did really well. Now what are the chances of a butterly landing on your horse! Mine would go ballistic...

My horse Paper Tiger is going to Houston with Ruth, and I hope I can manage to get up there to watch. Looks as if it might be day before dressage. He won the Novice Dressage Regionals at Ingliston last week (was a superstar!), so will be snapping back into jumping mode for Houston.

Remind me of your horse's name, so I can look/listen out for you

Nic01, I thought you'd done Floors PN this year?

I'm heading off to Houston, but I've got Hendersyde this weekend. Looks like my dressage is at 8.15am! But at least I'll be finished by lunchtime for a change....
 
Yeah we retired XC (i landed in the Coffin) so it's a 2nd attempt, but I seem to have blocked Floors out! I was looking for one that would be nice as a first though as Floors was definitely not!

But on the upside I don't think many PN will look large in comparison

I'm sure Houston will be much nicer! There seems to be a lot of people doing it as their first one. I'm just glad I didn't do Strathallan as my first PN.

Yeah, glad I'm so close by for Hendersyde. I might even be home in time to have a normal Sunday evening! A very rare occasion!!
 
hi well we all know what happend to me at strathallan but on a nicer note i am getting my potential new horse vetted within week or so so if i do get him i hope to take him out to gleneagles, aswanley and not sure aobut wee burgie, depends on the going really! anyone else going to any of these events?

I will be back down to intro and pn so maybe in with you guys! We have to meet Nic, you are such a star and i am bound to have walked past you or seen you so def got to meet ! its a date then ! lol see ya soon good luck all
