Strathallan BE100 report

fabulous report as always!! what a fabby girl H is, you definitely should finish on a PN if finances allow...it would be a course that would suit her down to the ground.

tinternet on my phone won't show me yer photies, but i bet they are absolutely fabby!

lots of polos for her from me!!

Yay! Go team Hopalong!

Fab report and photos as ever. Your new dressage saddle gives you very long legs and you realise just how tiny H is. I really like the first dressage pic - she's pulling her best 'elegant' face.

Bummer about the show jumping, but that was a horrid line to the last.

The open corner looked scary, and I can confirm that the steeplechase fence was MAHOOOOOSIVE! But I guessed it would be a 'yeeeha' to ride.

I want H to have a word in M's ear at Drumclog - remind her that she has to do the showjumping to get to the fun part.

Well done Team Hopalong!! Great report and brilliant pics as always.

H looks in great condition and whoot whoo at smexy new saddle!

ERC- Grossick and Peak I think. What number were you? Mr FJ took some random shots, so may have papped you also!

bogpony- ta. Is Hutton a good 'un? She says thank you for the polos! :D

daveismycat- thank you. Oh no, does it look like I'm pony squishing in the dr pics?! :o I now go up 8 holes from DR to XC length though! You and M will be fab at Drumclog, you have got the horrible "1st BE" nerves out of the way, so can write off Strathallan SJ and crack on with a lovely DC at Drumclog. :) Just imagine you're on your own at home. :) Actually, given the 4 fault-itis I shouldn't be giving SJ advice...! ;) Look forward to seeing you there though. :)

TPO- thank you, glad you think she's looking ok. She's certainly feeling well. :) Hope you are doing ok. :)

Heidi is a legend! I heart her (is that how you yoofs speak??):D Interesting tactic at the corner :p I must be old, but they always used to be like that. In fact, I'd go as far as to say I prefer them, weirdo that I am

What day are you doing Scone? (Too lazy to look online :o )

Well the plan was to get a nice, bouncy SJ canter, not bury the poor pony into the bottom of it! :o :( But it was a nice ascending front profile and she's so clever, lucky for me! I promise we jumped it better yesterday, since I knew we could do it, I rode much more positive and forward to it and got a fab jump over. :D

her too! ;) :)

Scone is Sat I think, hopefully sociable times as parents threatening to trek down from Aberdeen to cheerlead again, PN has always run after intro the last two times I've been to Scone, so no doubt now I'm entered the PN not the intro, they'll swap and I'll have a 5am DR slot...! ;) How's the gruesome twosome doing?! :)

TPO- thank you, glad you think she's looking ok. She's certainly feeling well. :) Hope you are doing ok. :)

Doing better but with my amazing (and not at all embarrassing!!) limp I've crowned myself an honourary member of the Hop A Long Team! ha ha

Are you all settled into your new yard? x

Cool - am considering whether to come up to spectate/help; but need to check whether any comps on that I can take Madge to first. Are you helping on the Sunday?

Gruesome twosome are just that :p. M going to Kingsbarn on Friday night for 2 dressage tests (hoping the first one will be the de-spooking so that the second one can be a proper test ) but nothing else planned after that so far.

daveismycat- phew! Apologies for being ungracious about your lovely compliment! :o (and you're not pygmyesque!)

TPO- ha ha, yes, you truly are a Team Hopalong crew member now! (although you keep managing to avoid us! :p ) New yard is fab, really liking it thanks. :) H seems pretty chilled and happy there too. :)

DHB- will live off beans and toast and see what I can do! ;) Sounds good to me and would love to finish the season with a BE100 rather than BE90.

n_l_m- not volunteered to do anything official, but was fancying going up on the Sunday to cheerlead Joss's OH and Echo in their quest to become Scottish Novice champs and watch the CIC**. Could always lift share or summat if you were interested? No idea what else is on that weekend, sorry! Good luck with M on Friday... have you wrapped her in cotton wool/bubble wrap in preparation?!

Nic- all the cool kids wanna be in Team Hopalong, eh?! :p Still, it can give you some hope that if an old girl like H can come back from TWO injuries in a row, then DA being a spring chicken will bounce back even better. :) It's still a pipe dream (but hey, we're qualified now at least! ;) ) but maybe Strathallan next year...!

n_l_m- good luck keep all four shoes/feet/legs in correct order for Friday and do update us. :)

fab result and report Eliza. looking really great.
and your DC will come!!
can my pony join team hopalong too??? vet out today and he's strained his deep digital flexor tendon. so poor boy off for 3-4 months!!! he doesn't understand as he's not lame but i felt there was something wrong so having entered scone Novice, i've now withdrawn!!! :-(

maybe at scone with my boss so will look out for you there.

squirrel- that's pants. :( As much as I love all my HHO pals, I didn't want all your ponies/you lot going lame and joining Team Hopalong! :( Too many people having bad luck at the moment. :( I hope he is a good patient and heals quickly. At least you can bring him back nice and slow over the first few months of 2011 and then be good to go once the season kicks in. :)

saz- after you...! ;)

Hutton's a great event with a fantastic xc course - quite hilly and undulating but with a few places to have a bit of a gallop. I won't be competing even though it's a local one as will have a tradestand there and need to leave early as i forgot about a work trip so need to make a flight on sunday afternoon (have very kind friend to look after stand for me). Hope to see you there! Good luck at scone and drumclog - won't be doing either as richmond is closer (same weekend as scone) and have a wedding the weekend of drumclog - how inconsiderate!! Mind you, they were told by quite a few of us, to not get married the weekend of blair as it would be a very quiet wedding!!
