Straw poll on saddles, please answer!

Tried Fitform, Freeform, Bob Marshall, Barefoot, Heather Moffet, Sensation, Torsion and some other less well known makes.
The ones that suit my horss and that and have kept are the Sensation - very, very comfy, more a hacking saddle to me. The Freeform - comfy, and a good treeless compromise for someone who wants their saddle to be a bit more conventional. The HM Phoenix Vogue, very nice to look at, very comfy, has a twist and looks very conventional.

Balance Nexus Dressage ...has gone from a ridiculously high-withered TB (which no-one except Balance could fit a standard saddle to) ...to a perfectly barrelled, flat and broad Fresian youngster.

My thoughts are that the padding concept works well so long as you're able to use the minimal number of pads (you get a combination of pads to help customise the fitting).

Whilst the youngster is still growing, I've been able to adjust the fit easily ...and despite his extravagant movement, the saddle is very "secure" and comfortable.

I bought an Equipro saddle a few months ago, I believe they're made in South America, the leather is lovely quality and very supple, and it's a very very comfy saddle to sit on! It has very flat panels and sits on the horse nicely and he seems to be happy in it (didn't get on with a Barnsby saddle at all!)

I have a thorowgood high wither (T4 I think??) with changeable gullet because my horse changes shape quite a lot and has a very sensitive back. I really recommend them for a less expensive option. It's great and has helped him so much and served us well. ATM we are using an Albion jump saddle (not sure what sort of albion) that he came with as he has grown back into it and it is also excellent.

I have ridden in the Quantum saddles, dressage and jumping, and i have to say i HATE them! For a close contact saddle i felt about 3 miles away from the horse! They were also so uncomfy it was painful!
