Straw?

How much are you paying for a bale of straw? Havent bought any in years as been on shavings but going to switch....

£2.20 a bale and it generally is rubbish

£2 for wheat straw
£3 for barley straw

Both work well barley just a nicer colour. I really like straw and wouldn't go back to shavings unless I had to. e.g. horse with dust allergy.

£1.75 from the farmer at my old yard, and £2 per bale at new place. The type of straw varies depending on what he's got in stock, but it's all pretty good quality.

collected. Normally all good wheat or barley. Sometimes the odd bale is a bit weathered at the ends but usable. Come June he will give me whats left for 50p to make room for the next crop.
