Straw

Hello,

Not been on here for a while so may have missed a similar post by someone else. Sorry if thats the case.

Whats everyone doing about straw this year. We phoned our regular supplier of straw and the heston bales are £50 this year!! I nearly passed out when he said!! Big increase from last year.

Tried to get prices off other suppliers but no luck as they wont deliver to us we are too far away.

Just wondered what everyone else was doing? Prices in your area?

Small bales still £2.50 here, and supplier thinks there will be no shortage.

£2 for a small bale of really nice barley straw

Ours has just gone up 20p to £2.20

Think my farmer is having a laugh in that case he has put them up by £15 a bale!!
