It's work thats stresses me out - the horse makes me relax!! so you get a bit of peace before work to muck out, ride, make haynets, and a bit of peace after to groom, feed and put to bed - perfect
The damn weather is the main thing that stresses me out at the moment. The horses are knee deep in mud if I turn them out or jumping out of their skins if they have to stay in!

Forgot to put weather - yes that is a major buggar. I am counting down till the Spring. Ah lighter nights for after work hacking and horsey fun and NO MUD
I am in school. And keep my horse on part livery- but still have to go up once a day, so is that assisted DIY??
What stresses me? Horse injury (well Beans when she had it), possibility of new horse going lame (extremely paranoid), spending my parents money, the exams coming up, not having enough time to do work.
Horses de stress me!! They are my relief from work ( & people) - much better than sat in watching TV on an evening, keep me fit and listen to my moans without answering back!!
Nothing about my horse stresses me. Money isn't a big issue, you don't miss what you don't have. Horse ownership is the best thing that ever happened to me. I'm on DIY, work full time[placement] , study and 2 part time jobs and manage to fit it all in!
Done - the other thing that stresses me is how far the yard is from home
I work full time, quite often away from home so I get stressed that I don't see my horse as often as I'd like. Luckily, she's on full livery and very well looked after.
I have to say after a stressful day at work, there are so many times when I've turned up at the stables full of fire and brimstone, taken it all out on the mucking out. Then gone out to catch my gorgeous horse from his field and all the stress has just floated away. I arrive home to my OH happy and smiling, if a little late!!!!
My horse is why I put up with all the crap I get at work, and he's worth it!
I have been more stressed this year with my horse than ever before...but that is down to him getting laminitis in August and the constant worries associated with trying to keep him sound, the set backs he has every time he is shod and the fact that the vet gave me the all clear to bring him back into work last Nov and he is still not back in work due to set backs and sore feet with the weather etc.
Other than that I am lucky in that he lives out 24/7 and is kept in a rented field only 3 mins walk from home.
Spring will bring me different stresses too!
Agree with the weather point!! I wish our paddock wasn't a mud mire!
I wouldn't say owning a horse stresses me, I love winding down and riding him, grooming, mucking out etc. What upsets me is not being able to ride in the week because my work hours are so long and we don't have a floodlit arena to use.
I would love to ride more and it upsets me that when I was at school I couldn't see him in the week due to parents not taking me, then once I could drive I had impending a levels and once they were done with I had one month to ride when I wanted before I started my job. We moved him home in September and my Mum and my little sister won't ride him or let me ask our neighbour to so he can start getting fitter, I would have loved him to be at home when I was at school and my sis doens't appreciate it at allll! It's just all so frustrating!!
I work full time and the horses are on DIY.
Not having enough time with my horses stresses me out most as i currently can't drive so find it hard to get to the stables as i either have to scab lifts off of family members (major guilt!!) or walk which takes about hour/hour and half. But am learning to drive at the mo so hopefully this will be sorted soon
Oh and the weathers definitely been stressing me out-roll on spring!!
