One of my horses tb loves being in , get mucked out in the morning and leave on mats with a bit of bed at the back for him to have a wee on , was fine when I left I went back early afternoon , been rolling as full of shavings but opened his door and full bed down and soaked , had to remove all middle of bed , horse seemed on edge rushed out of stable , tied up on yard while did stable was settled , peossad and then put back to bed fine and settled and no problems when leaving , never seen my bed in such a state and dodnt
Want him getting worried , anybody else horse been like this ?

My lad has been a bit unsettled in his stable infact the other nite I suspected he may have got cast as rug was all ripped and was scrapes on back wall from his hooves, fortunately he was ok.
Prior to this and since he has been makin a real mess off his bed and sometimes seems a little stressed if left in longer than usual.
I was putting it down to him bein young and due to weather on restricted turnout, is just a small paddock.
He is ok in himself just has seemed unsettled and messy last couple of weeks x

Must be something in the air. Since Dizzy got mudfever, I've been keeping him in his shelter overnight

In the morning, I feed him and sort his legs out before turning him out. Usually he munches every morsel of food before getting fidgety to go play

This morning however, he was just desperate to get out and refused to eat his brekkie until after I turned him out

Weird :/

Could he have heard the hunt or the beagles if they were in your area ?

This may be it. I came home several years ago to find my usually sane horse on edge sweaty and bed all over the place. Could not think what had happened till a horse trotted past he spun round the stable when I looked over the gate it was a rider on her way home from the hunt.
