Hi everyone
got to start my dissertation soon and no idea what im doing... does anyone know ANYTHING about salivary cortisol - searched everywhere on internet and books but no use, still none the wiser.
Also, if you were carrying out a piece of research how many horses would you use and how many times would you do each - 3? more?
thanx

I was gonna do my dissertation on salivary cortisol but ended up doing someting different in the end so don't now all that much. The best place to look is probably journal articles, science direct is a good place to look but i don't know what kinda access you will have cos some things you have to subscribe to. You can also use google and click on google scholar, that is where i found most of my research. Don't know if that helps.

The more horses you use the more reliable your data would be but then there are time constraints etc so using huge numbers may not be practical. I would hazard a guess at between 10 and 15 horses, but your prob best to check with a tutor.

Just out of interest what are you looking at doing your dissertation on, that is if you don't mind saying so.
