Hi Everyone,
I would really appreciate some advice...
My 5 yr old Holsteiner gelding has been snatching his off hind leg up when I pick his feet out. He has been doing this as long as I can remember and his leg does shake very slightly when it is in the air. His movement in all gaits is perfect and he shows no other signs, such as stiff when backing up or when coming out of the stable in the morning. My Farrier mentioned the possibility of him having Stringhalt after putting on a back shoe. I am really gutted as I have planned to Event him in the long term. If any of you could let me know your thoughts and experiences on this and if you think it sounds like Stringhalt then please let me know. I am also going to get a Vet verdict this week. So... If you know of any more specialised Vets in the Bristol/Somerset/South Gloucs area then please post your suggestions. It would be very much appreciated.
