Have a show on sunday, want to enter riding club horse, but pippa gets really strong in canter when in a snaffle, any ideas or help + any other general show-day tips would be great too

Thankyou x

Warm her up in her stronger bit and then change to the snaffle before you go in ..

Keep the contact light and you will be fine (I have done this before) sneaky sneaky me lol

Maybe a hanging cheek snaffle???

I'd second the hanging cheek idea - just gives you a bit of extra control without being too strong or harsh... my old mare who could be a nutter jumping was much easier to control in a hanging cheek - mine had a losenge rather then snaffle joint too.

Twisted snaffle or a cherry roller snaffle,?

Both should back him off but they will never know the differnce, esp as Judges cannot touch the horse - never mind look in the mouth (God, I am a bad person!)

I was about to say the same - maybe a waterford? Not a loose ring one as they are very obviously not snaffles but an eggbut one (you can find them but they're not as readily avialable as loose ring ones) looks the same. A hanging cheek may lose you marks as well.
