Hi just after a bit of advice, my daughter has been riding her pony in the field and she hacks him out etc
In the field he can go perfectly, listen to my daughter, she can get him to trot, canter and pop a small jump.
Problem is he gets very nappy to the gate and very strong, he'll ignore the bit and go sideways and sometimes she can ride him through it and other times she can't.
I know further schooling will help, hes in a copper roller bit with full cheeks. Would a stronger bit help? Brakes are a problem in open spaces and he struggles with turning to the right in trot especially .
Any advice welcome
