Struggling with a decision!

Otto is bang up to the Breed Standard height for a Springer, but people are so used to seeing teeny little Springers that they assume he is something else. Large Munsterlander is popular, but I can almost forgive them for that as he does look ridiculously similar!

we all know though that breeders are known for mixing in other breeds! My mum used to breed championship great danes and another breeder put a masiff to her bitch to get the chunky heads that were wanted in the standard at the time and just said her gd boy was the sire. Shocking.

I spoke to my boys breeder last night and she was very rude and very defensive and couldn't remember how many litters she'd had in 08.....puppy farmer if ever I spoke to one.....

Well I didn't know, I have never heard of other breeds being introduced in GSDs. Although I have heard of people using one dog and saying its another, hopefully DNA testing has put a stop to that now. Thats shocking about the danes, surprised the other breeders who knew about this didn't report her to the KC, just imagine everything descended from that line is not purebred. :(

But if you think about it this has happened for hundreds of years to get different breed standards!

She also bred dogs with wobblers - you can report these people all you like but they never seem toget strung up like they should!

Oh yes I know it happened years ago but presume the case you were talking about was quite recent, and the KC would hopefully have taken action if she had falsified paper work. They certainly did in the GSD case, the breeder was banned for several years.

we're probably talking 25 years ago to be fair!
