My friend is selling his Stubben Artus CS saddle but gave my YO first dibs as he thought it would be too wide for my mare (he was wrong!!). Saddler is coming out tomorrow to look at it on my YO's horse and then YO will decide what to do (she has fallen in love with it too!). LOL, I'm hoping that it doesn't fit as i tried it on my horse yesterday and it fit LIKE A GLOVE. In the 4 years of owning my horse, it's the first saddle that has stayed put on her back- it's like it was made for her. It's even my seat size and matches the tack I already have.
Soooo, if my YO does end up buying my dream saddle, apart from looking for another Artus, is there any other Stubben saddle that had the same tree and fit as the Artus? All the Artus's I've seen on the net have been WAY out of my budget, my friend's one is at the end of my budget.
I've tried many a Stubben and they have all rocked, this is the first that hasn't. I tried the Sirocco the other day but that rocked like a rocking horse on her back.
Any suggestions?
