To those of you that have them, where is the best place to buy them? Are there any sizing issues associated with them, do you just get the same size as any other girth?

Thanks in advance

They're in different sizes to standard English girths as the two inch increments are in the odd numbers, not the even.

What colour and size are you after?

Ooooo that's strange. Are they a Stubben brand?

I don't use mine as Patches went down a girth size. However it was a 51" as you couldn't get them in 52" owing to the sizing in the odd numbers.

I want black and her current girth is 48" but was thinking of getting a 50" as current girth is a little short as it is difficult to girth her up at the start!

I got mine from Better Saddles. They size them in cms, not inches on there.
I've only been able to use mine while long reining my gelding as he's been out of ridden work for a while, but I've been really pleased with it - lovely and soft, no pinches or rubs and it does spread the pressure quite well - if you slide your hand under it when it's done up, it feels much nicer than a normal girth

I have a white Stubben cord girth & when my boy lost weight (and I decided it was more practical to get a black one!) I ordered a "copy" from the Divoza website for half the price.

Initially I did intend to use the black one from Divoza (they only have black) only for shows but have used it all summer. Its not as good quality as the stubben but the cord is nice and soft & for half the price of stubben I'd def get another.

i just had the saddler from Better Saddles out and she said string girths are the the best, kindest, girths to use so good choice!!

one tip - hand wash it!!!! i throw all my ponies stuff in the washing machine every other week and my lovely stubben girth is now a hell of a lot shorter than it was when i bought it last year!!! its shrunk by atleast 6 cms and thats washed at 30degrees !!!

Excellent, I am glad everyone has had positive experiences with them

I have always been a leather girth kind of girl, but her current girth is a bit short so thought I would treat her to a new one and I can't really afford a leather one. Also the whole elastic end debate got me thinking about alternatives.

Thanks everyone!
