Any opinions on the above? Saddler comingo out tomorrow to check my saddles and also try some of her second hand dressage saddles on, but have also borrowed a Stubben dressage saddle from a friend to try (which I would then buy if it fits and I like it).
I'm not really a big fan of Stubben stuff as I find it all very hard and stiff, but this is a few years old so someone else has done the hard work of wearing it in! I've had a good look at it and I'm surprised at how much I like the look of it. It hasn't been anywhere near the horse yet so it may not suit him at all - I have always been under the impression that Stubben saddles tended to fit skinny types (my boy is an IDxTB)?
How do they compare to say something like Albion or Ideal - in terms of value for money, how long they last, how comfortable they are and so on? I usually prefer English leather and have always liked Ideal. I'm trying an Albion as well tomorrow so hopefully will have a couple to choose from, but the Stubben is actually more within my price range than the Albion.
Any opinions welcome
