Stubben equisoft - length?

Hi all!

Im thinking about getting a Stubben Equisoft girth and I’m wondering what length to get.

I have a 70cm girth now and it goes up on the saddle pad - buckles just under the girth strap...

Any advice appreciated! Thanks!

In some shops you can trial before you buy. I was glad I did this as the padded part of the girth dug into my mare. The padding ends suddenly and in a corner. It would have been an expensive mistake! Plus, if it had worked, I would have had a better idea of size.

I’m sorry to hear that and happy that you could return the girth! I live in Switzerland and haven’t found a store which lends products but I’m gonna do some detective work.

I had a similar problem with the neoprene padding, but changed it to the sheepskin one and it was fine after that - may be worth considering?

Yes I did get the same length as my previous non Stubben girth and I think research has suggested that the buckles on all dressage girths should finish as close to the bottom of the saddle cloth as possible? They are elasticated, but I haven't noticed that mine has particularly stretched in length over time
