Stubben Freedom 2 Alternatives

Hi! I’ve got a very sensitive boy, and I’ve been using a micklem with the flash strap & rings cut off, which he really prefers to keep the bit still, and to stop the moving cheek pieces when bit is involved (as they’re a single piece).

I’d love to pull the trigger on a Freedom II 2505 bridle (with the removable flash) - the new one looks a lot less bulky. But the price is insanely high….

I categorically do not want a flash/drop strap on him, which makes most of the anatomical bridles a right off. PS nirak would’ve been good otherwise. I have also seen the schockemohle equitus delta but that is also still pricey and I’m not 100% on the design for that money.

Are there any other alternatives for joined anatomical single cheek/noseband bridles (inc anatomical headpiece) that aren’t quite so pricey?

Micklem botch is fine for home but I would like something better for competitions.

Thanks :)

Just resurrecting this thread as I saw the Stubben Freedom II and was really interested in the design, especially the cut back around the eye area.

It's a strange looking thing but after a while I convinced myself that I liked the look of it. However, the price is just crazy - someone told me that it's because the leather is super-high quality, but even so...
Have looked at the Felix Bühler one and it does look quite good. The only thing I don't like is the upward facing strap on the cheekpiece. (Some of my straps have ended up curling a bit after a while and that wouldn't be great with this design!)

I can't actually find anyone who has one of these bridles and I can't find many reviews so I can't really make a decision. Can anyone here advise?
The Stubben would have to be utterly amazing in order to justify spending that amount of money!
