Anyone have a Stubben Roxanne jumping saddle?
Are they nice/comfy/keep you secure?

And also any recommendations on other jumping saddles that fit this criteria:

- Comfy
- MUST keep you in over a fence and on a stopper.
- Under, say, £850

Thanks

I had a stubben roxanne. with the biomax seat. and i absolutely adore it!!!! wish i still had it!!! def recommend. good for stoppers or horses that like to displace you hehehe

Can't comment on the Roxanne but I have a Stubben Siegfreid (sp?) CS. I thought it was great for jumping my mare - a stopper but with a very athletic, 'flicky bummed' jump (jumped me off the first time I rode her). Mine has calf blocks though which some people don't like.

Tinkle that one sounds good aswell - is is comfortable?

I no longer jump my mare so now use the saddle for hacking - she's a spooker/spinner (very agile he he) so the security of it has come in useful. I don't think I found the saddle uncomfortable when I used it for jumping and hacking previously, however, a couple of years ago I fractured my coccyx and used a seat saver during that time. I left the seat saver on for hacking out after that so can't remember what it feels like without! I think the seat is quite firm - perhaps I'll have to try without my seat saver next time I hack out and let you know!

I've always found Stubben's hard on the botty! (not that I ride much anymore).
If you look in this week's H&H there's a big advert at the back for new Stubben's including Roxanne's for up to 60% off !! Advert is from Stubben's head office so unlikley to be a scam.

My friend has a Stubben jumping saddle (not sure which model) & I ride her horse in it twice a week. It is quite hard in the seat but not uncomfy. I find it a little too deep personally but I know my friend loves it for that reason as her horse is quite sharp & can put in a good stop if he wants to. She rides quite a few horses on our yard & any that it fits have the Stubben on them when she rides. I do find it puts me in a better position than my saddle but I'm stuck with mine for the moment as my horsey is a skinny TB with high withers who is a nightmare to fit a saddle to.
