stubben stirrup leathers

I bought a pair of stubben stirrup leathers but I cant get any of my stirrup irons to go on them because of the fancy blue button on the end of each leather. Just means that the hole in the stirrup iron isnt big enough or the leathers are too thick cos of the silly blue button. Have Stubben made them so that you have to buy their stirrup irons to use them?

Or if anyone has got these leathers can you let me know the make of your irons? Thanks in advance

I have the same problem I'm waiting till I go to burleigh and taking them with me and trying them on some irons which means more expence !!!!!!!!!!!

I have them but I do have Stubben Irons

I do also have Sprenger Irons which they fit also.

I have stubben saddle, leathers and irons, it is all made to work together.

I have Stubben leathers and use them with some irons that I got from Townfields saddlery, the flexi ones, they fit ok. Stirrup Irons , they are £22.50 and Townfields will be at Burghley........

had the same problem had to buy stubben stirrups off of ebay!!! still like the stirrup leathers alot, but was a little X when couldnt get old stirrups onto leathers tho!!!

I bought some for best, along with some royal rider flexi stirrups - they fit through fine!

Already had the Stubben irons, so didn't realise there could have been a problem! My old Stubben leathers don't have the blue button though.

I have stubben leathers which fit fine with the bent leg irons I've had for ages that aren't stubben.

i have sprenger irons on mine which go on without a problem, and also a plain pair which i think were ejeffries.
