well, i said id let a couple of people know how i got on with my stubben girth...finally got my string girth, and its amazing!

i love it, my saddle hasnt shifted on my flat-backed-low-withered horse and i even gave it the ultimate test...getting on off the ground (grabbing the pommel as horse was plaited) and it didnt move a cm

(i cant remember the last time i got on off the ground!)

They are wonderful arent they!! I wouldnt be without mine, in fact Im getting quite a collection of colours now!

i love mine too - but please beware when you wash it - only on cool cycle or it will shrink like hell - as i have found out - takes me ages to get on now as its about 4 inches shorter!!!!!

i am stunned and amazed, i was hoping it would be good after being recommended it on here, but it is*outstanding*

another cord girth fan here. I have a broad shouldered, no withered pony and no longer have a slippy saddle problem. I like the fact that they are so wide too for more comfort...

the woman at the saddlery agreed to order one in for me, but said if i didnt like it it was tough because she didnt think she'd shift it because she couldnt see a market for them

i actually didnt realise how insecure my saddle was as im used to riding my horse, but someone else tried jumping him and couldnt turn without the saddle coming over

Have just bought one but am a bit dim & negelected to note that my close contact saddle means I needs something to tuck the straps through (doh!) but am just going to create some loops and sew them on as have heard such good reports about them

I have one and love it. Saddle doesn't move at all, and my very sensitive horse likes it too! Have managed to convert a friend of mine into having one! Not many tack shops sell them and I ended up getting mine through a proper saddle fitter who swears by them!

i have a few of the old ones around, they must be 30 years old! but they are rough as anything, take the skin off your hand never mind the horse

Great - thanks for the update. I was one of the ones asking about them for my sensitive skinned pony. Can you get them in all the usual online places. I don't go into real shops, no time!

ah, papafrita, you shamed me into trimming, pulling and preening my horse before i rode the other day, just as id finished and tacked up it started bl%%dy pouring it down and i was cursing you

Another fan here!!

Had terrible girthing troubles with Star all last summer until I found that combined with a numed girth sleeve

Well it's not me doing all the polishing!! I'd much rather they did more mucking out TBH. Nor do they clean my tack daily as they're meant to... or AT all in fact...

PF has never been glossier though!
We could use a bit of rain here if you'd like to send some over
