Stubben UK Website??

Hi all

Having finally persuaded my OH to buy me a saddle for my birthday and finding a bargain on the Stubben UK website - I am a bit unsure of buying one as it seems that the links to send enquiries aren't working, emails return undelivered and the phone number is 'unrecognised'.

Does anyone know if Stubben have closed down their UK website/retail operation?? I don't want to commit to buying a saddle through the site - that part of it still appears to work - and end up losing money. I also wanted some advice as to the fit as its for a fairly narrow TB and their fitting service which the website states that they offer.

If anyone knows what's going on with them please let me know!

I wouldn't order anything from their web sale without contacting them first to confirm that they actually have what you want in stock and at he right price.

A couple of years ago (when the 2010 web sale was actually in 2010 :rolleyes:) I ordered a saddle from their sale, they took the money then refunded it a few days later, saying that the saddle they sold me was no longer in stock. Unfortunately it is still possible to order that same saddle through the web sale :mad:

TBH I'd contact Stübben Direct if I was you, much more helpful than Stübben UK (which seems to be down). Their fitting service doesn't apply to their sale saddles anyway, they just send you the saddle via a courier.

In terms of fit, Stubbens have quite curved trees. I'm not sure how they come up in terms of width because my horse has only ever had a Stubben so I have nothing to compare it to. They seem to suit horses with a normal/high wither, but don't quote me on that :p My horse has a 30 which is approximately a medium wide (he is a Connemara with a normal wither and a fairly flat back which slopes side to side, ie not a table top). 27 is narrow, 28 med narrow, 29 med and so on.

Aw thanks for all your help - by the sounds of it the website hasn't been updated in a while then! I'll contact Stubben Direct - hopefully they can help!
