I have scrubbed and scrubbed my grey (practically white) ponies hocks and legs using:

carr & day martin super stain remover spray,
gallop stain remover shampoo,
gallop grey horse shampoo,
green fairy liquid,
johnsons baby wash,
and even a vanish soap bar!

but her yellow stains refuse to budge! Any ideas on how I can wash them off? Desperately need something that works as we've got many competitions coming up and I can't stand it when she's not properly clean!

Thanks :)

Fairy liquid :D

I find the secret is to keep on top of stable stains although not wasy with a grey is it :D

I use Horsewise water free shampoo on a daily basis

If you can still get it Hydrophane Bloom shampoo, runny as water but superb for stain removal and only costs around £4 a bottle, wet, scrub, soak and rinse, worked for over 20yrs on my Palomino with a totally white mane and tail. He didn't get touched all winter every yr, come April 1st bath with the Hydrophane and stains all gone.

I use Lyn Russels stain remover and then chalk powder on top. Always dries really white.

Washing stains off as they come is always a must. :)
