I came across this by accident yesterday, never seen one before but have often thought about getting some sort of hay feeder to minimise waste.
Physio recommended not using hay nets so I’m currently feeding from the floor.
Has anyone used one?
They are reasonably priced and look quite robust.
I’m wondering things like do you carry it to the hay to fill or do you have to bring loose hay to it in situ?
Are they easy to fill or a pita?

I have an Eazigrazer which is sort of the same idea. I find it very easy to use. Has a drain for soaking hay as well!

I can pick it up when it’s full of hay and move it. It isn’t that heavy.

I had looked at those, they look good as well.
Do you use it in the field or just stable?
Just the stable. She’s out with about 15 other mares at a livery yard, so definitely not field. When they are in overnight, I have to add a haynet as well, but it’s fine on its own when she’s in during the day.

You can get bigger things but they’d be a pain to hoik around, which I have to do when I’m soaking hay. It’s kind of a trade off.

I saw those too on an ems fb site, have tried to find out the capacity of hay it holds but can only find the size dimensions. I thought it would be a good addition to my hardstanding area for variety. I do have the big haylage ball and mine love that but it only holds about 2kg. Does anyone know if the Stubbs one would hold about 4 kg?

I see somewhere it holds a large haynet, that is of course one thing to someone and another to someone else though
