stud girth challenge!

My friend's jumping horse cuts the underside of his chest when he jumps with studs EVEN with a full sized stud girth on! He can cut himself quite badly, almost needing stitches last season Does anyone know of any strike pad or extension she can put onto the stud girth? otherwise no jumping on grass Thanks!!

Why not ask your saddler to make something bespoke

I'm sure a good saddler could make something to suit from a template - does it need to be further forwards, wider or further backwards in its coverage?

I've seen a homemade one made from felt that attached to a over girth over the top of a standard stud girth, the felt was stiff enough that it didn't flop down ether
