Further to my post the other day regarding having stud holes put in for my mare, I've realised I'm probably going to need a stud girth which no doubt will be a complete nightmare finding! Just looking through pictures and although we don't jump big in some photos she's almost touching that area and to be honest I don't want to risk.
She's currently in a stubben string girth which I also put a lambskin cover over but I'm think just adding a guard to that probably wont work!
In the past when I have tried leather girths they seem too "slippy" and I feel like it makes my saddle unstable. If I go for a non elasticated girth I cant do it up on her but is too elasticated then again not a good idea on a rounder horse. Ideally something really soft with some give in it but not too much.
I feel like this is going to be impossible to find but I cannot be the only person with a rounder horse that needed a stud guard!
