Hi all
Pone is finally being studded all round and after borrowing my friends stud guard the other day, I have decided it's time to invest in my own

First question is: pony normally has to have a sheepskin girth cover on (sensitive soul) so is there any brand that does a sheepskin girth cover that is Velcro on/off for ease of washing?

Or I have seen that le mieux do one that just attach to a stud guard? Any cheaper versions of these?

Lastly could people please recommend some brown leather stud guard girths?

Thanks :)

I have a brown leather Frank Baines stud girth with sheepskin that Velcros off.I think that fits all you criteria!?!?

You may find you don't need a sheepskin with a stud girth. We've a very sensitive soul who needs sheepskin for his normal SJ and dressage girths but never has for his stud girth. I was worried about the sheepskin getting wet in the water jump and then pulling or rubbing but our trainer said many don't need it and to try without - glad we did! Might be worth trying without to see if you still need it?

Interestingly enough i didn't use one of my friend as she didn't have one and I think he was okay but don't know if I want to risk it for all the time seeing as I am buying one now might aswell buy the right one :?

I found some just leather one I like which I guess I could then buy a sheep skin bit for it?...
Shires do one although at £90 I think they look the same as a cheapey Windsor one I've found on ebay for £20!

I've found a mark Todd one for 75 which I like?
Or English Bridle have one £68 which is a make someone on this forum has mentioned before?

'Crazymare'- I have looked for a Frank Baines one but cannot actually find somewhere that sells them :(
