Stud Holes-allen key screws?!?

Hi on the good old subject of stud holes the thing that gets alot of us cursing!
Has anyone ever got one of the allen key grub screws stuck in a hole before and/or does anyone know if the farrier can just drill them out?. Think il be sticking to cotton wool in future!?!

I have once, but it went too far in & had to get farrier to take shoe off to get it out.......I use cotton wool now, can't stand the stopper things!!

i will be using cotton wool all the time from now on! Hopefully the farrier will be able to get them cause usually I get two wears out of a set!
