Well, recently i have found a best friend in the screw in metal stud plugs.they are so much more easier and reliable than cotton wool. but.. being careless and all i appear to have lost all but 4

I got mine from Ride Away, but was told not to use them by my farrier as they can wind themselves into the horses hoof and make them lame. I get rubber bungs now, really easy to use and not too expensive.

My farrier gave me some plugs that are stamped out of a neoprene sheet & they go into the stub hole easily, stay in & are easy to get out at a competition to fit the studs. Until then I'd used coton wool.
