i have a NUS student card (but dont have the NUS EXTRA card)

does any 1 know what shops i can use it at to get discount from etc as im not sure and no 1 has told me were and were i carnt use it

Most shops that offer student discount will accept the NUS normal card. You just won't be able to use it for Amazon or bus companies etc.

I just ask whereever I am if they do discount (plus being in bristol with 2 uni's and a million colleges most places do!) I'd also advise getting a NUS extra card, they're only £10 and I made up that with one trip to matalan!

Just ask, that's what I do (also in Bristol, so lots of places do as Ezme says).

Worth asking wherever you go, some places sneakily don't advertise it, in the hope that you won't show them your card!

The la Senza discount is amazing! Its often on top of already discounted stuff too! The best one I've found latly with NUS Extra is Superdrug! Especially great with christmas coming up!

I just ask everywhere really they can only say no! - actually saying that I still have to get my nus card this year - literally have not spent any money in shops that i could have used it!!!

i try and use mine at most of the highstreet shops, and have never been told no!
you can also def us it at McDonalds - you get a free McFlurry, or cheese burger with any extra value meal (think you can get a couple of other things also but they are the 2 i know)

I had an NUS extra card the first year at Uni. Since then I just show my college swipe card and most places accept it and give a discount! Just ask!

ALWAYS get discounts when we go to the cinema/bowling/etc

I get discounts in most shops by just showing my normal college ID card I use for the library/to get into halls etc.
