We’re showing on grass at the weekend and given the forecast is for rain and wind (yay 😕) I thought studs could be really helpful. Are studs used/ allowed for showing? If so is there a certain type of stud that’s normally used?

You can use Studs not a problem at all. I couldn't tell you what type as I have never used them but it certainly isn't against the rules.

Just use what is in the stud kit that will be most useful for the ground conditions, ie if it hard slippery ground or deep going will influence your choice.

Thanks both, that's a relief to be able to use studs if I need to.

For future I'll get some of the supastuds small dressage studs as I imagine they could be a bit more suited to showing and a bit more discrete but for this weekend I'll go for my small hard ground studs as I would for eventing.

I used small hard ground ones last weekend. Good luck with your outing.

Thank you :) I saw a couple of people in our class using studs but in the end the ground was good enough I didn't feel I needed to but now I'll know for the future!
