Right were do I start!!

I have been having lessons and done a few unafilliated show jumping competitions over the last couple of months, most of them have been on grass,I also school at home in the field, as my dad is yet to build me a menage, and I hoping to keep competing through the winter.

As the weather is getting wetter, yesterday I decided to have stud holes in my mares shoes, two in each. The only problem now is that I am stuck with what studs to get for what!!

Could some one please advise me on studs for schooling at home on a quite soft feild? A stud for showjumping on grass? And a stud for in a menage for lessons/competing?

She is a 15.1hh TBx Hannovarian!!

Sorry if this seems a ridiculous thread, just need help!!

have a look at Supastuds website, i'm sure they have a guide to what diff studs are ideal for diff conditions. i really really rate their studs.
you really shouldn't need studs for work in a manege.
generally speaking, pointy for harder ground, squarer for muddy ground, bigger if v wet (for more purchase). most people use a larger version for back shoes than for front.
i'd use small square in front for schooling on soft field, and big square behind, for e.g.

Supa studs are great, i would start buy getting small and large dome type ones for wet ground, i ALWAYS stud when riding on grass, lessons, competing dressage or flat. Make sure you keep your stud holes in good condition, clean and WD40 them and there will be no probs
