Studs!!!

today i went show jumping in the rain and had a couple of issues in corners, my horse is pretty sure footed and can handle most things, we did pretty well got a 3rd and 4th

but she was sliping, i only have front shoes on her and i was wondering if i could have studs on them or do i need a full set, honestly i cant afford a new full set ever 6 weeks.

My friends got studs on their horses recently, farrier said that they needed it on all 4 shoes.

They say it does make a huge difference

you can get them on just fronts?

We ran Jessie on front shoes for ages - with studs, Depends on how hard you ride, but they are an essential safety device IMO.

Competition horses jumping big use studs on artificial surfaces to improve the grip as well.
