Stumbling

Any ideas should i be worried?
Horsey has recently started stumbling during work, just the back feet/legs. Alomost like he's tripped. Does it maybe couple of times when schooling either in trot or canter can be bit of a problem when we're jump schooling. Not the surface that gets leveled quite a lot, and he's reasonably fit so its not tiredness.

Anyone had similar?

Are his toes too long, so that he could be catching himself?

Could it be his back? My last horse Jack used to stumble all the time. I was told by vet that it was just laziness but the physio came to treat his back and his stumbling more or less stoped.

My mare does this, she has bone spavin although she's not at all bothered by it. It's her fetlocks that lock up although the cause is her hocks. She only does it at a trot though for some reason.

Thanks folks, did think about toes but he still tripped after feet had been done. He's not lazy and normally doesn't drag his feet so dont think its that. Think i might get his back looked at.

my mare was doing this and had a severe bad back and turned out to be kissing spines but she was doing it in the walk and trot.
